About

We are four friends who graduated from Carleton College and now want to change the world.  Instead of doing that, we’re blogging. Here you’ll find original research, analysis, and cool features that we found online and in real life.  This blog will feature posts on a range of topics which will share an engagement with the liberal arts (whatever that means).  We will shortly update with little bios of our selves.

A note on our blog name, Appeal to Authority. It can be summarized as follows: as college graduates we have new found authority.  Feel free to cite us because we’re right.  Also, we needed a name.

    It’s a blog with appeal!

  2. For those who don’t know, an appeal to authority is a logical fallacy, where someone argues that they are right because an expert says so. Good site, I hope you can do some articles on logic too!
